Lovell Lions Club will hold the annual Norris Bennett Memorial
Scholarship Fund Fishing Derby

Sunday February 12, 2023


at Pleasant Point Rd., Pleasant Point, Center Lovell, ME. From 5:30 am to 4:00 pm.

For the Biggest Togue, from Kezar Lake only!

1st Prize - $1,500, 2nd-$500, 3rd - $300, 4th and 5th - $100 each.

Age 15 and younger 1st Prize $100, 2nd -$50, 3rd - $20 Biggest “Any Fish”.

No Salmon allowed to be taken from the Lake, Kids’ Casting Contest @ 11:30, and Prizes for all. All participants must register at the registration table at the Pleasant Point Town Beach, Pleasant Point Rd, Center Lovell, ME unless you have purchased a ticket in advance. Registration fee is $25. All registrants are eligible for door prizes. Door prizes will be announced during the event. The raffle awards will take place at 4pm sharp. The cost of the ticket is $25 each or 5 for $100. One of the items that will be
raffled consist of a 6 x 10 foot snow pro fishing shack provided by Scott’s Recreation, with an estimated value of $6300.

Tickets can be purchased at the Lovell Hardware store Maine Street Lovell, online @facebook.lions or by calling 207-928-9023. Purchased Derby Ticket are eligible for door prizes. Winners will be announced during the day.

No taking of Salmon from the lake will be allowed per the Inland fisheries and wildlife services.

The food Booth menu includes hot dogs, hamburgers, chili, corn chowder and more. Ample parking will be provided.

Money raised from the Derby will provide four $1,000 scholarships for Fryeburg Academy Seniors.

Additional funds will enable the Lions to provide assistance to families in need for medical or other unforeseen expenses.
